It seems there’s such a disconnect between East and West that this amazing and disturbing production of last year has been seemingly invisible to Western viewers. You won’t find this on YouTube or Telegram or The Pirate Bay. The content is disturbing and so I’m not going to provide any more hints as to where you can view this.

Best In Hell is the fight for Bakhmut as seen from the perspective of Yevgeny Prigozhin’s Wagner Group. Two forces—the White and the Yellow—battle it out in the ruins of the city. I’d like to emphasise, this is not Hollywood yet it has the production quality of a Hollywood movie. We’re not watching stunt doubles and fake blood. We are watching actual human beings being killed in a whole variety of unpleasant ways. If you want to put people off going to war, show them this 90-minute piece.

Incoming 120mm mortar. “Best In Hell”

I don’t know what to call this. It’s not a documentary, since it’s obviously been made by combining scenes shot during the conflict. And yet it is a documentary, since all these scenes are real.

As we approach the 20 minute mark in this 90 minute film, the horrendous nature of escalation in weapons becomes evident. We begin with small arms and AGS grenade launchers. Soon, though, “Yellow” calls for arty support and a 120mm mortar team begins laying down a barrage from 3Km distance.

Stung by this, “White” calls for backup. An Orlan obs drone is sent up, and a three-gun battery of 122mm visits carnage on the mortars.

Then a T72B and an APC arrive to take out the first objective. But a “Yellow” RPG immobilises it, and soon, a “Yellow” attack drone arrives and blows it to smithereens.

I’ve never seen anything like it.
