Well, it’s snowing fairly heavy tonight, by this time tomorrow we could have as much as a foot of snow on the ground. It’s getting cold too, single digit lows and highs in the teens for this coming weekend. We could start next week sub-zero. I’m not really ready for this, I have done all I can to keep water for the cats from freezing, I shelled out $500 for ceramic heaters and when I got back, I remembered that most of the circuits in the house don’t work for some damn reason. Flipping the breakers in the box made no difference the past two or three years. One by one, the circuits just stop working, pretty sure the house is haunted. At least I have some backup heaters to replace the ones that are currently in use, I wish I could add a couple more, going to be a long winter. My daughter, bless her little heart, has been working on fitting me into her apartment in town, she doesn’t have it ready yet and time has run out. I will manage the cold weather down to maybe zero, but I can’t promise to survive sub-zero temps. I’m still without my own vehicle since my little pickup caught fire, 3 weeks at least before they can get to it for repair, it’s been over a week already, but the weather has turned. I could be snowed/mudded in for the next couple weeks before anyone can get out here to me. I might be a stubborn old fart, but resources only go so far. Cross your fingers! Looks like I may go out singing Jingle Bells, instead of by way of a heart attack like last year. City folk just don’t get it, they take that socialistic city supplied water for granted. Every time they turn on the faucet, water comes out, totally unlimited, as much as they want. At my place, my water tank holds 1500 gallons, I call a water truck to fill my tank once or twice a month. Sometimes my driveway is impassible for the water trucks and I can go a week or more past the delivery date until my driveway is dry enough not to swallow the water truck. That has happened 3 times in the 21+ years I’ve lived here. They wind up dumping the full truckload of water into my field to lighten the truck up enough to be pulled from the mud. Needless to say, my driveway is a mess from sunken trucks and others that have been stuck in the mud. Oh well, enough about that. I hope the rest of your week is going better than mine! Who is talking to who. SPOILER WARNING: A late night gathering for non-serious palaver that does not speak of that night's show. Posting a spoiler will get your brolly whacked. You don't want that to happen to you.
