... still smells just as sweet to the likes of Steve Bannon and the MAGA cult. Team Treason is engaging in asymmetric warfare. Their goal is not to deliver a functioning House to the American people. Their goal, first and foremost, is to foment a coup. By any -- and all -- means necessary.

The rest of us on Earth One worry about things like the looming government shutdown. The reason it looks like they're not in a hurry to resolve this is because ... they're NOT ina hurry. They're not trying to fix the government, they're not trying to "make it work". Their sole focus is to install Dear Leader (or a sufficient cult substitute) who will obey his every wish and command. So it matters not one whit how long it takes or how much damage they do to the country in the meantime. If it takes until Christmas to get someone on Team Treason in as Speaker, they'll do it. Having the government shut down in the meantime is just the cherry on top.
