[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-10-25 Greetings all! I was watching Chris Hayes on MSNBC with the husbear while he discussed the fraud trial of TFG in NYC with his guests as they discussed MM’s continued violations of the Judge’s gag order when I had a sudden “aha” moment about one possible solution to deal with him. It seems that all commentators agree that, even though he may deserve it, putting him behind bars for a day or so is unlikely. Fine. Here’s my thought: Who said we had to put him “behind bars”? There is another way to handle someone who just CANNOT stop with the verbal diarrhea...or at least can’t stop acting out...and we do it to unruly children. It’s called a “TIME OUT”. This may be useful for someone who just simply cannot stop misbehaving in front of a crowd. Here’s my idea: when the Judge has finally reached their breaking point and wants to move beyond fines, why doesn’t he put TFG into a guarded room, with no electronics or company allowed, and just let him sit there and stew for a period of from 6-12 hours. He will of course be fed and watered and allowed (monitored) bathroom breaks, but other than that he will have to be ALONE with no contact. Advantages: It won’t be overnight or need extra consideration for his Secret Service entourage. It will be in the courthouse (or nearby facility) to aid in monitoring him. It can happen “instantly” after the Judge rules it’s necessary (same day action) which prevents him making an “grand exit” from the courtroom. He can’t fundraise instantly (although his un-Truth Social staff can do it...unless the Judge gags them as well). Disadvantages: The next day. If he’s not chastened, he will make a show out of the situation. Anyway, it’s an idea, or as Beau of the Fifth Column would say, “it’s just a thought”. What do you say?
