[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-10-26 I had plans to describe my wedding day (and honeymoon weekend). But I’ll leave you with the highlights instead. More on that after the mission statement and page break. Morning Open Thread is a daily, copyrighted post from a host of editors and guest writers. We support our community, invite and share ideas, and encourage thoughtful, respectful dialogue in an open forum. A small group of family and friends (dressed in floral prints — Hawaiian theme), met at the court house. May Day (hence the flowers) on Saturday where the judge said to my fiance, “Girl, 10 am on a Saturday! You better be serious about this guy.” The service was short with nary an unwelcomed hitch. The reception was full of laughter, fun and fellowship. The honeymoon (a camping weekend) was delayed by the Mississippi River flood of 2004 (inches below the 2002 record high). An obscure town in Arkansas had a hotel with a bridal suite (spur of the moment option). The two person heated hot tub (in the room) and king sided bed were great. The Waffle House connected to the parking lot of the hotel completed the bliss of our first days as man and wife. It has only gotten interesting since those days. I don’t expect everyone to have had such an exciting event as mine, but if you feel your own tale is worth sharing, now is the time to spill the beans.
