Please do not believe the new rumors about Putin's death [1]

В 20.42 по московскому времени врачи прекратили реанимацию и констатировали смерть. Сейчас врачи заблокированы в комнате с трупом Путина, их удерживают сотрудники службы безопасности президента по личному распоряжению Дмитрия Кочнева, который находится на связи и получает инструкции от секретаря Совета Безопасности РФ Николая Патрушева. Охрана двойника президента усилена. Идут активные переговоры. Любая попытка выдать двойника за президента после смерти Путина, это государственный переворот.

My translation:

Attention! There is currently an attempted coup in Russia! Russian President Vladimir Putin died this evening at his residence in Valdai. At 20.42 Moscow time, doctors stopped resuscitation and pronounced death. Now the doctors are locked in the room with Putin’s corpse, they are being held by members of the presidential security service on the personal orders of Dmitry Kochnev, who is in touch and receives instructions from the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolai Patrushev. Security for the president's double has been beefed up. Active negotiations are underway. Any attempt to pass off a double as the president after Putin’s death is a coup.

Similar rumors have been swirling for days, this one is catching the hype train right now on Telegram (and being picked up by people who probably should know better), my admonition is to be very, very doubtful: all of this is likely just wishful thinking.

What I find even less credible though is the news from several legitimate sources (as in — not some anonymous bloke on Telegram) that today Putin had a constructive meeting with a self-proclaimed leader of the Russian democratic opposition to his rule Grigory Yavlinsky, supposedly to discuss a ceasefire in the Ukraine war: www.svoboda.org/… Unless it was one of the body doubles? Yavlinsky is a has-never-been and a legend in his own mind. Can this still be true? Welp, hope springs eternal (the Russian equivalent of this proverb is “hope dies last”).
