Ghana- Homeless Nigerian Girl Gave Birth This Morning, in Emergency Ward [1]

I don’t know if anyone has been following my diaries on this but Favour, the pregnant seventeen year old Nigerian girl who has been homeless and living on the beach in Accra in Ghana, gave birth this morning to a little baby boy.

John took her to the hospital and the baby is fine. Favour is in the emergency ward. She is unconscious, I don’t know any more details.

This is the end of the month and we are out of funds to help. There is some donated money being processed but it is not available yet. It is a sad fact but simply the way it is. There is nothing we can do.

Prayers for Favour.

Just heard from John, mother and baby are well. Mother may need blood and some other care but they are okay.

He sent some photos of the baby nursing but I don’t know if that would be appropriate here.
