Kitchen Table Kibitzing 10/28/23 [1]

so last week’s open house was canceled. because about noon the thursday before somebody walked up my driveway as I was in my garage. he asked if he could look around. I showed him around as we discussed aspects of the house’s construction and California’s new ADU laws. even gave him a peak inside but couldn’t show him everything because remembrance was doing an online session in her office.

I told him he could come back that weekend for the open house ...he wasn’t gonna wait. my agent called about 45 minutes later to ask about what happened and let me know the guy was very interested. a few hours later our agent called again ...the guy had submitted an offer. by 11pm we had signed everything and sent it back.

the afternoon of the next day the deposit hit escrow ...9 days on the market and it was a done deal… no need for another open house.

when our agent first called asking about the guy I queried, “if I sold the house to this guy does that mean you owe me dinner?” my agent replied, “Glen...if this guy buys the house you can have all the dinners you want.” I like to eat ...especially when it’s free of charge.

my mother-in-law’s condo goes on the market thursday morning ...we are hoping it goes as well.

somebody from here asked on facebook if there will be horses ...if she checks in tonight… we are not sure. but at the bottom of our property we did find a mystery driveway leading up to a flatish area that could be home to a small arena and stables ...so maybe…
