Getting into the heads of MAGA election deniers [1]

Several of Trump’s accomplices have come forward and admitted that they lied when they had said that the election was rigged. So, where does this leave the devout members of the Trump cult who still insist that it was rigged? In order to still believe that Joe Biden stole the election, they would have to believe that the people responsible for spreading that claim are lying when they say that they lied.

I can imagine this exchange between a MAGA politician and a MAGA voter:

. “You were not lying!”

. “Yes I was lying! I was shamelessly lying through my teeth!”

. “I don’t believe you when you say you’re lying!”

. “Are you calling me a liar?”

. “Certainly not!”

. “Well, you should call me a liar because that’s what I am!”

. “You are not!”

. “I really am a liar. Honest I am!”
