Okay, how did Halloween get started, or what is it supposed to be, technically? Is it all about the devil? Nope. It’s about saints: en.wikipedia.org/… Okay. So, who might be considered saints? What is a saint? en.wikipedia.org/… In religious belief, a saint is a person who is recognized as having an exceptional degree of holiness, likeness, or closeness to God. However, the use of the term saint depends on the context and denomination. In Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, Anglican, Oriental Orthodox, and Lutheran doctrine, all of their faithful deceased in Heaven are considered to be saints, but some are considered worthy of greater honor or emulation.[1] Official ecclesiastical recognition, and consequently a public cult of veneration, is conferred on some denominational saints through the process of canonization in the Catholic Church or glorification in the Eastern Orthodox Church after their approval.[2] Okay. I am an atheist, so I simply feel respect and love for all of those who are nice people. So, just about all my family, friends (such as you, my Itzl friends) and neighbors, living and dead, are saints to me. So, in addition to the first of November, I can think of, and I do think of, my family, friends, and neighbors, every day. So, every day is, essentially, to me, all saint’s day. Ha! So, the eve of, or the day before, the first of November, is not so special to me. When I was a kid, I enjoyed getting into a costume, and collecting candy, from as many neighbors as possible. But now, if I want a treat, I will make myself some muffins, or salmon salad. I need to make another batch of that. Changing the subject now, I found out that my camera cuts off my videos at 9 minutes and 52 seconds. So, when I made my newest video, (oblivious to that cut off feature) I let the camera run for 20 minutes and 22 seconds. The camera cut that into two nice videos of 9 minutes and 52 seconds each, and a third video of 38 seconds. From now on, I will place a clock near me, like in my face, so that I will stop the camera well before the nine minutes and 52 seconds, so I can say, “Later Tater!” I already recorded another video; this one is a cooking video. I made a nice batch of chili. I will post that next week. Posting that Charlie Daniels video stimulated me to get out my violin. Maybe I will record a little violin playing video, soon. Well, brace yourself for the kids, if you have any that will visit you. Hugs!
