This is an Open Thread / Coffee Hour and all topics of conversation are welcome. Today's suggested topic is the The Twonky.

Decades before the Terminator this little gem of a science fiction / comedy film told the story of a robot from the future disguised as a TV set sent to enslave mankind.

As you can see in the screen grab to the right the Twonky is a innocent looking TV with four legs that it walks around on. It first reveals its multiple powers by lighting the protagonist’s cigarette.

The movie progresses with the TV doing more and to control the humans that it comes in contact with. Including mind control. Jump the fold for a link to the video.
