US Catholic universities offer campuses as refuge for ‘harassed’ Jewish students [1]

I actually was in the midst of writing a diary about campus antisemitism when I saw this article, and I think it makes my intended point even more poignantly than I would have. link below

Since the October 7 massacres perpetrated by Hamas terrorists in southern Israel — in which 1,400 people were killed, including about 1,000 civilians slaughtered amid horrific atrocities — and Israel’s subsequent declaration of war on Hamas, Jewish students have faced intensifying persecution on American campuses. Barricaded inside school buildings or beaten with flagpoles, Jewish students throughout the US — including at what are commonly thought of as the top institutions in the country — report they do not feel safe.

Have state universities stepped up? Of course not. One would think differently of course, being state institutions that have an obligation to protect not only their students, but citizens in general, but no. Any “Christian” schools involved? Nope, they just want us all to die in Israel so they can rapture off to space. We’ve all heard about the Ivy League schools and their bullshit statements, but I haven’t heard much about Yale or Dartmouth catching flack so did they step up? Shockingly (sarcasm) no.

Nope, just the Catholic schools stepped up. And note this line, seemingly thrown in:

“We’ve been down this road before and we want to do what’s right and loving this time,” said Hildebrand. “We wanted to be on the right side of things,” he added, referring to what he called the Catholic Church’s “mixed” role during the Holocaust.

I read a thing a couple of weeks ago about how Jews worldwide are finding out who amongst our friends and colleagues would hide us if need be. Put another way, who would do what’s right and loving. Its been a real eye opener.
