Club Q shooting, one year later. Where are we now? [1]

One year ago tonight, a cold-blooded hate crime, a carefully-planned terrorist act, was carried out by a coward with two ghost guns and wearing safety gear at a beloved local gay bar in conservative Colorado Springs. 17 people were injured and 5 people killed. It would have been so much worse but the drag queens and their friends were not having it.

I’m not going to retell the story, there were heroes and broken hearts. A good comprehensive recap of the story (if you don’t know) is on Youtube by a local news station below. It will bring you right up to date. But it was a heartbreaker for those of us who lived there, I promise you that. For people who know people...it still is.
