College Football Playoffs -- Who's In, Who's Out [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2023-12-02 Who’s In, Who’s Out of the College Football Playoffs as of Saturday Night, December 2, 2023 ? Michigan should be no. 1. Washington should be no. 2. But who’s no. 3 and who’s no. 4 ? A poll and more. Is Florida State in with a perfect 13-0 record and the ACC Championship ? Or, does their insipid offensive performance against Louisville disqualify them ? Is Texas in with their 12-1 record, the Big 12 Championship, and defeat of Alabama in Tuscaloosa by double digits ? Or, is another team better ? Is Alabama in with their 12-1 record, the SEC Championship, and defeat of no. 1 Georgia ? Or, is Texas better because they beat Alabama ? Is Georgia in with their 12-1 record, and being no. 1 all year except in the championship game ? Or, does their loss to Alabama disqualify them ? And, what about Ohio State with their 12-1 record and only loss to no. 1 Michigan ? Does not being a conference champion disqualify them ? To this author, who is trying to be neutral, Florida State should be in because they have been so good all year, won their conference, and overcame adversity starting their third string QB for the first time. Then, who should be no. 4 ? It should be Texas because Texas beat Alabama who beat Georgia. (Sorry Alabama, but a loss is a loss.). Sorry Ohio State, but failing to win the Big 10 disqualifies you. BUT You may think differently. Sound off, and let us know your opinion before the CFP Committee decides, or even after they decide. And take the poll below.
