New Day Cafe - Saturday: A Bit of This and That. [1]

Dear Newdists, I am recovering from my COVID shot. Feels like I have the flu, plus the arm hurts. Which means I’ve been a potato in front of BritBox watching old Miss Marple episodes with Joan Hickson. I always revert to that when I’m not feeling well. The other thing I go to if I feel really bad is watch either the whole of (2004) Battlestar Galactica, or (2018) Black Panther & sequel Wakanda Forever.

What do you watch when you are feeling like 5 levels of hell; and what do you watch when you’re feeling like 16 levels of hell? Please, do share.

A reminder, Newdists, I won’t be here for the next two Saturdays. I’ll be in SLC. The family — the ones on this continent — are descending on my sibling to express support and love, and my presence has been demanded. This is the first December celebrations without my mom; the first of my birthdays where she will never call again and sing me the birthday song. Instead, I was holding her hand and singing her favorite hymns into her ear in late October, as she gently slipped away.
