Our winning it for Biden [1]

Trump is starting to lose it. We can help this process along. Currently, his building on Nazi tropes is getting public attention. When we let our news sources know that this is drawing our interest, they will continue to cover that story.

The most recent, as I write this, is his “Immigrants are poisoning America’s blood” comments. If we write letters to the editor, a fortunate few will be published and read. Others will be seen as duplicating other contributions, and they will encourage the publications of those other LTEs on the same subject.

Even others will demonstrate reader interest in the story; that is likely to increase the space that the paper assigns to follow-ups to that story.

Your own opinion is better, but I’ll list some thoughts that the issue has raised in my mind.

1) I’ve already written a LTE about “hybrid igor.” If you’re not familiar wth the concept look it up. Biologists basically reject the idea of any advantage to “pure blood.”

2) Trump claims that he thought it up for himself, but Hitler was writing in a country where the gene pool was fairly stable for centuries. Trump is writing in a country where immigrants have been pouring in since the 17th century.

3) Trump has married 2 immigrants — Slavs, whom Hitler considered nearly as impure as Jews.

4) If you know something useful about the diverse ancestry of the region which the newspaper covers, you could point out what that diversity has contributed to the region.

I’ve dealt with responses to printed newspapers. Broadcast news has its own means of response. If you get your news that way, you probably know those means better than I do,
