Wrong Campaign [1]

We Dems are running the wrong Campaign to beat Trump. The issue oriented campaign we are running is what WE want to see, but is not one that will get a still uncommitted voter to the poles. It will keep the voters whom we have now, but if it were going to get the still uncommitted to the poles, they would have become committed Dems.

So what is missing?

Emotion, passion, excitement - the more human element. Republicans know this and exploit it deluxe. They should face plant in every election... but they don't. They are aware of how poor the US education system is because their policies made it that way. Illiteracy, either the complete inability to read and write, or the functional kind, of hardly ever reading or writing anything is the rule among tens of millions. They do not communicate. The friendships that they had they let go, and they are lost trying to make new ones. Despair reigns.

In swoop the Republicans to solve the problems they created. Carnival Barker Trump is totally oblivious as to any facts. They annoy him. They are unpleasant. They cost him money and get him sued and made fun of. So any facts or facts people who get in his way have to go. They are bad people to Donnie. Just evil They hate Donnie.

Many voters are beyond frustrated. They see a huge ball of problems that stifles their lives. Democrats remind them of these problems, and how expensive and complex they are, and argue in public.

Republicans seldom argue in public. Trump:"Only I can fix it!" Whether true or not, voters hear a man say only he can fix it. Fix what? Why, everything of course. The public is blissfully unaware that the Trump Admin ran the biggest deficits in history and had awful job destruction numbers. Trump assured them that everything is the best.

Daddy will make it better, but just don't get Daddy mad, because then bad things always happen.

Roger Ailes, who started Fox News, made fake propaganda films for Nixon. They were so extreme that they scared Nixon, and were not shown. Neither was Ailes fired. He knew too much. His motto was "The Truth is what people will believe."

Now that defines our political landscape. So many are justifiably fearful of losing everything, as millions have, that Republicans use this fear to drive voters to the land of the fake, phony, and false, where they have the best map, because they designed it all.

So what to do?

First you must get people's attention. TV is the media (streaming). Entertainment. Star studded. Celebrities. Glitz, not facts. A big, glamorous show. There will still be MSNBC etc for facts. We abandon no one! But we begin to catch the notice of those desperate for solutions. Slowly we mix in why lying hurts our daily lives, when we get lied to by trusted public figures.

Daddy has been lying. He doesn't really love us...

It's a tightrope walk. Keeping the voters we have, making them a part of it. They need to come to see new tactics as crucial to 2024 victory, and embrace them, if we are to add to the ranks of Dems who actually vote in November.
