Hamas Attack and Goebbels' Propaganda Principle #2 [1]

In his Principles of Propaganda #2, Goebbels writes that his propaganda directives “suggested how an item should be interpreted.” See Leonard Doob’s Goebbels’ Principles of Propaganda.

Already we can see the propaganda and misinformation related to the Hamas’ terror attack. These screenshots are from a YouTube show called Breaking Points.

Let’s talk about this disinformation.

Obviously, internet users are more sophisticated than people in 1910. You can’t just throw out a photo and lie about what it is. Already, some of these twitter posts have been taken down. (I won’t call it X without a letter from Elon Musk’s lawyer).

With reverse image searching available to anyone, one wonders why these propagandists would do something so stupid. After all, the one thing you need to persuade people is credibility. And within 24 hours, that credibility was gone.
