WYFP: What A Crazy Year, Huh? [1]

2023 was a busy year. A former President is under indictment, hawking his mug shot like it’s the latest invention from Ronco. Everybody was on strike. China pissed people off flying balloons around the world. UFO’s are back in the news. More people began believing in climate change because the skies outside their homes looked distinctly science fictiony. Republicans went off the deep end and kept shooting themselves in the foot and in the mouth.

And the Titanic claimed more victims, 102 years after succumbing to the iceberg.

Sorry people, I’ve been too busy reading library books to write a proper diary today. For the curious- Michael Harriot’s Black AF History and Rachel Maddow’s Prequel. Both are engrossing and due soon, with long wait lists telling me to hurry up.

However, a new year coming requires some sort of resolution. I resolve to do my part to fight censorship next year. You can't learn from history until you learn your history. I was listening to NPR this morning (Thursday) and they were talking about an oral history project you might want to check out, it’s called

The HistoryMakers project.
