Today, I did what I have been avoiding doing. I cancelled my NYT subscription of some two decades. I gave them an earful when I did. I support good journalism, but this ain’t it. I am sad and absolutely disgusted with the Democratic party and its fat cat, mega rich donors. I was never much of a Democrat, but I sure a living fuck ain’t one now. I am LIVID that my vote has been overruled by the almighty dollar. This is the most anti-democratic thing I have ever seen. The Democratic Party needs to change its name. They aren’t democratic in the least. FascistLite seems reasonable given their behavior.

I never cared for Kamala Harris. I still pronounced her name wrong about 75% of the time (apologies, I try to do better, but it’s true). She was just barely beginning to grow on me, but I have absolutely zero enthusiasm for her as a presidential candidate. She couldn’t run a fucking campaign in 2020, she’s supposed to run the fucking country?! And zero is only slightly more enthusiasm than I have for anyone else the oligarchs might fob off on us. I am in a towering rage over this bullshit.

Make no mistake, this is a fucking disaster.

I’m heartbroken that 2/3 of Democrats are delighted to completely ignore the facts that we cannot replace Biden on the ticket without opening a can of worms, we don’t have a can big enough can to put back. The Republicans have been sitting back, watching Democrats throw away the election. And y’all did it. You threw it the fuck away. All you assholes, saying that the most effective President we’ve had in generations is too old, have just elected Trump. I hope you are fucking happy.

Oh, don’t worry, I’ll vote for whoever the fat cats decide I’m allowed to “vote” for. But I’m done. My money is in my pocket and staying there. I’ll stick with my local race (which is not winnable, and I know it, since this is a heavily gerrymandered district), but I’m done with national politics for a good long time. I’d sit out the election altogether if fucking Rump wasn’t even more scary than the plutocrats of the Democratic party OVERRULING THE FUCKING ELECTORATE.

Fuck this shit. You all deserve FascismLite, because that is what you fucking got.
