According to the listing, the “video analysis system” will “automatically analyze images of faces” in order to identify drivers and compare their faces with all of the data contained in a “biometric database or in a specific list.” Authorities plan to install the systems at checkpoints on Russia’s borders with China, Poland, Lithuania, and Kazakhstan.
