NATO countries promise ‘billions of euros’ in aid for Ukraine in 2024 — Meduza [1]

During a NATO-Ukraine Council meeting on January 10, NATO countries announced that they will continue to provide Kyiv with economic, humanitarian, and military aid, including to strengthen Ukrainian air defenses.

According to the council’s statement, NATO countries agreed on a plan to “provide Ukraine with major military, economic, and humanitarian assistance, and many Allies outlined plans to provide billions of euros of further capabilities in 2024.” The statement doesn’t say what specifically this would entail.

The NATO-Ukraine Council meeting took place at the ambassadorial level and was convened at the request of Ukraine amid Russia’s increasingly frequent massive shelling of Ukrainian territory.
