Last weekend, the news that American political commentator Tucker Carlson was in Moscow took the Russian Internet by storm. Now, following the release of Carlson’s interview with Vladimir Putin, it’s the English-language media (or at least English-speaking Russia observers on X, née Twitter) that can’t seem to talk about anything else. Below, we’ve compiled some of the memes that came out of the two-hour conversation, which consisted largely of Carlson furrowing his brow as Putin droned on about his version of more than 1,000 years of eastern European history.
