NATO RESPONSE FORCE 2024 ENABLEMENT CONFERENCE 2 [1]

The Joint Support and Enabling Command (JSEC) is tasked to enable NRF24, requiring a sequence of conferences with the Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), Allied Command Operations (ACO) commands and various NATO nations. The Enablement Conference #2 was conducted both with participants on site as well as via video conference and provided common guidance and information on specific movement and sustainment related sub-conferences. During a workshop the participants were able to delve deeper into these focus areas and exchange experiences.

Back in October 2022, the Commander of JSEC, Lieutenant General Alexander Sollfrank, approved a Functional Coordination Guidance which defines the objectives, processes and milestones to enable the NRF24 force element for Deployment and Sustainment.

Following this corner stone, “JSEC took over the enablement planning, coordination and synchronization tasks for NRF. This is one of the highest priority tasks for the military headquarters this year,” emphasized JSEC´s Chief of Staff, Major General Richard Laurijssen, during his welcome speech at the beginning of the Enablement Conference.
