Supreme Allied Commander Transformation General Philippe Lavigne and Allied Command Transformation Chief of Staff Vice Admiral Guy Robinson welcomed the incoming Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, Admiral Sir Keith Blount, to Norfolk, VA, NATO’s home in North America, for a series of collaborative discussions. Knowledge sharing focused on Strategic Plans and Policy, Capabilities Development, Joint Force Development, and additional priorities for Allied Command Transformation, with leadership from respective departments joining in discussions. Allied Command Transformation is NATO’s Strategic Warfare Development Command, responsible for the modernization of military structures, capabilities, and doctrine to maintain and improve the military effectiveness of the Alliance. Allied Command Operations is NATO’s other strategic command, responsible for the operational planning, coordination, and execution of NATO’s military activities.
