CSU Naples Holds Change of Command Ceremony [1] [] Date: 2023-10 The ceremony was presided by Brigadier General (DEU AF) Ralf Hoffman, Director of CSUs, and was attended by some of the highest civilian and military authorities from the JFCNP HQ Naples, CIS Support Elements Athens and La Spezia, and former CSU Commanders. In his address, BGEN Ralf Hoffman thanked Col. Mauriello for his excellent contribution during his 4 years serving always with dedication to the people under his command and loyalty to NATO partners. He then praised the extraordinary support provided by CSU Naples to several large scale exercise and Operations. Moreover BGEN Hoffaman welcomed Capt. PASCALE, his former Executive Officer at Directorate of CSU in Mons BGen Hoffman said: “Welcome home, Capt. PASCALE. We hope that you will enjoy the unique opportunities and fascinating challenges that will come with this assignment. Good Luck for new appointment and fair winds and following seas!” He also thanked his Armed Forces superiors for assigning him this Command and highlighted the great professionalism and team spirit of the men and women he was about to lead. Raffaele Mauriello Col. Mauriello thanked colleagues, superiors, stating that civilian and military authority’s presence was an attestation that CSU Naples is well placed within users’ community. He briefly reviewed his first NATO assignment as CSU Naples Commander that started with COVID-19 pandemic: “While most of the people were staying home to avoid the spread of the Virus, we were guaranteeing continuous, despite reduced, support to all our Customers. Some of us were even heavily affected by such tremendous disease but, thanks God, they were all able to completely recover” He praised the great effort made by the Unit personnel, despite severe time limitations, during Operation Allied Solace and Later on Operation Noble Shield: “I remember our 24/7 level 1 Technician support arranged with ACOS J6 just shaking our hands. Such support, was so appreciated by our customer that it is still included, just slightly revised, in the Local SLA.” Before closing his remarks, Col. Mauriello announced a great achievement for CSU: “Thanks to a great team effort and forward-looking common vision among different stakeholders such as JFCNP J6 and JFCNP Base Support Group, we achieved to prepare a good plan that was eventually approved by NATO Office of Resources and Budget Committee to implement a new data server room in Lago Patria." In assuming command, Capt.
