Transparency in research and reporting and reproducible methodological rigor are invaluable tools in addressing these concerns. PLOS ONE is committed to pushing the boundaries of Open Science by providing resources and opportunities for improved rigor and reproducibility, including three article types specific to protocols, allowing for peer review of the methods and study design before the study is conducted. This call for papers emphasizes PLOS ONE’s focus on reproducibility, open data, and rigorous experimentation and analysis. The call welcomes protocol submissions in any of the above categories as well as submissions reporting completed research adhering to transparent and reproducible reporting practices in the areas of clinical psychology, psychiatry, mental health, and neuroscience.
