About Student and Scholarly Services Student and Scholarly Services provides student administration and services from recruitment and point of enquiry to graduation. This team also delivers wellbeing and scholarly services to students and staff. This position sits in the Research Information and Engagement team of Scholarly Services. About the Role As the Research Outputs Officer, you will undertake the processing of harvested and manual research outputs records to ensure accurate recording and classification of both traditional and non-traditional (creative) works. You will deliver high standards of accuracy and quality in data entry and undertake data integrity and cleansing activities. You will also be required to deliver expert advice to academic staff to assist with research output requirements during major grant rounds and with Open Access funder policies. In a typical week at work, you may: Process harvested and manual research outputs records in accordance with the University’s Classification Guidelines, in order to support University reporting obligations and accurate display in downstream systems Support evidence collection and data entry for all non-harvested output types Manage author identifiers on behalf of academic staff to ensure accuracy of automatically claimed records Contribute to data cleaning, reporting, analysis and monitoring, following processes that will maintain and ensure data integrity for research outputs collection About You You will have a critical eye for detail with the ability to identify and articulate both data quality and process issues, particularly as it relates to data input and classification guidelines. You will also have sound organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work to tight deadlines, and anticipate future requirements, while working autonomously and when collaborating with staff across the University. Ideally, you will further have: A relevant undergraduate qualification with extensive relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training The ability to identify, report and articulate data quality and process issues Demonstrated advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office (particularly Excel), web-based systems, databases and the capacity to adapt to new software Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a broader team To ensure the University continues to provide a safe environment for everyone, this position requires the incumbent to hold a current and valid Working with Children Check.
