The National Tertiary Education Union (NTEU) NT Division is seeking a highly motivated, member focused individual with experience in industrial, organising, recruitment and campaigning, either in a trade union or in social justice organisations. The successful applicant will be committed to building the trade union movement.

The position is offered as a full-time, on-going appointment.

The National Tertiary Education Union covers staff employed in universities, associated companies, research institutes, TAFE, student unions and adult and community education. The Union's membership includes Academic, General, Research and Professional staff.

The successful candidate will be based at the Charles Darwin University in Darwin. You will be assigned a mix of duties, including to:

provide industrial support to members in a timely and efficient manner;

contact and liaise with members and the National Office in relation to the management of complex industrial matters;

participate in collective bargaining; and

take responsibility for the completion of organising, campaign, and administrative tasks or projects.

This position is available immediately. It will be filled at NTEU Level 6 ($98,223 - $107,678), depending on skills and experience, plus 17% employer superannuation contributions.
