We all know who the true "Haters" are [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-05-19 Reposted from Dark Skies on the Horizon This week we’ve had the hot story of the catfight in the Capitol between Jasmine Crocket and Mrs. Gespacho Police. Jasmine Crocket snapped at MTG: “Do you know why were here?” during a markup hearing on holding Merrick Garland in contempt — which is ridiculous — because Greene had randomly started spouting off about New York Judge Merchan and his daughter. The dastardly crime committed by the Judges daughter is of course, that she’s a Damn Dirty Democrat. Oh, heaven forbid, she’s one of them! This led to MTG making a crack about Crocket’s eyelashes being fake - which is mind-numbingly juvenile. I was not going to even address this issue because - it’s just so unserious. It’s just so ridiculous. It’s just so petty. Then I realized - this is actually instructive. It’s indicative of the entire Modern Republican project. They think they’re better than every one else. They think they’re smarter than every one else. They think they’re More American - than the rest of us. That explains everything about their behavior. Yesterday, I reposted a piece about my opinion and position on “Hating Trump.” Which, for the record, I don’t. I think he absolutely deserves to be hated for what he’s done to the country and what he’s promised he’ll do, but really I ain’t got time to invest emotional energy in that. What brings me to this discussion though, is the fact that while the GOP whines about being “Hated” — they are the ones who are doing the real Hating. x x YouTube Video Here's the first thing, I think MTG may have been not just a little racist with her comments. Because, certainly not exclusively, but Black Women do tend to wear some pretty dramatic eyelash swag. Not that I’m complaining about it, but it’s a choice. So, there's that. But more importantly, who is such a busybody to gatekeep eyelashes? MTG thinks she’s better and smarter than Crockett. [You gotta admit the comeback — which was ingeniously presented as a hypothetical — of “Bleach Blonde, Bad Built Butch Body” is delicious for the alliteration alone.] That’s why she makes this cheap comment. Racism is inherent in that. Because Crockett is black. These are the same people that told us Barack Obama — because he was clearly smart and sophisticated — couldn’t have been born in America. Black people in America aren’t smart and clean and sophisticated. They’re all violent gutter trash like P Diddy (The Girlfriend beater) and Kanye (the Antisemite). They’re all dumb baboons. He was secretly a Kenyan. That explains why he got into Harvard. Except, obviously that happened because he got an unfair advantage because of Affirmative Action. It’s not like he earned it. It’s not like he was qualified. [Or that he as a Legacy because his father Barack Hussein Obama Sr. attended Harvard too.] And clearly he got a token appointment as Editor of the Law review. I mean, that happens all the time, right? (He was the first ever African-American Editor of the Law review - so I guess all the other Black law students just didn’t get that kind of special treatment!). And obviously, with sitting in Reverand (“God Damn America!”) Wright’s pews for years, he was secretly a radical black revolutionary who hated White people and America. (Yeah, and he must have hated his own mother, who was white — and his grandparents who raised him, because they were white.) His ultimate revenge on Whitey would be his Death Panels in Obamacare. And also — it was blatant — that he was super-super-secretly a Muslim, with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. He was a Mau Mau Anti-Colonialist. He likes to “Pal around with Terrorists” like Bill Ayers. He was going to implement Jade Helm 13, and place Real Americans in FEMA camps in the desert. All of that was bullshit. Some of it was just what our politics has devolved into. Some of that is just how the game is now played ever since Gingrich came up with his “Fighting Words.” Newt Gingrich, a soldier's son, is fond of calling politics war without blood. In his construct, we live in a "Third Wave" information age, in which words are weapons and the winners are those who define them, redefine them, test them, deliver them and repeat them in ways that devastate the opposition or provide the best protection against enemy attack. Inside the conservative revolution that Gingrich leads as speaker of the House, there is a relentless search for the right words. One afternoon last March, Gingrich convened a strategy session to discuss how Republicans should talk about restructuring the Medicare system. It marked the beginning of a long campaign, not yet over, during which the speaker has commanded a vast communications army, using polls, focus groups, image-makers, corporate coalitions, lobbyists, radio talk shows and the full apparatus of the Republican National Committee and the House Republican Conference in a rhetorical battle that could determine the fate not just of Medicare but of the entire GOP revolution. It was Gingrich who “crafted a new lexicon” to order to refer to Democrats. To denigrate and destroy them personally and politically. As he worked to unleash the Republican Revolution, Newt Gingrich famously crafted a lexicon to disparage Democrats. Among his favorite 1990s buzzwords: corrupt, pathetic, and sick. With C-SPAN cameras newly installed in the House, he spoke to an empty chamber, believing his words would find an audience of conservatives who wanted to “speak like Newt.” He packaged this new vocabulary in a memo titled “Language: A Key Mechanism of Control,” and he baited Democratic leaders as pro-communist, un-American traitors in business suits. But three decades after storming into Congress as a radical reactionary Speaker of the House, he has changed his tune—at least for a moment. With Democrats excelling in the midterms last month, Gingrich penned a column comparing Joe Biden with Republican greats Dwight Eisenhower and Ronald Reagan. And even before Raphael Warnock triumphed over Trump favorite Herschel Walker in his home state, Gingrich warned his party not to underestimate the Democrat in the White House. “We pettily focus on his speaking difficulties, sometimes strange behavior, clear lapses of memory, and other personal flaws,” Gingrich wrote. He warned this risked leading his ideological allies to overlook a record of success comparable to previous Republican icons. After all, Gingrich argued, Eisenhower and Reagan “found being underestimated was a major asset. While people laughed at them, they were busy achieving their goals and getting their programs implemented. Biden has achieved something similar.” Newt’s language from the early 90’s still prevails. It was used against Bill Clinton when he was accused of being a drug dealer and murderer. As it turns out he was merely a letch. It was used against Hillary Clinton — who was also accused of being a murderer, and also eating babies. As it turns out she was a mildly inattentive administrator who left her subordinates with too little oversight. Some of this shit is just politics. But also, some of it was blatant racism. They hated Barack Obama for being black but would never admit that was their base issue with him. They hated Bill Clinton because he was favorable to black people. He was even called “The First Black President.” They hated Hillary Clinton for being a successful talented “Liberal" woman. How fucking dare she? And they hate Jasmine Crockett - because she’s an experienced and talented lawyer who graduated from the University of Houston and worked as a public defender and Civil Rights Attorney for 20 years before running for Congress. What’s not to hate? Just to illustrate this point, when Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez spoke up in Crockett’s defense and called for Greene’s words to be taken down. Greene reacted by yet against whining “Why won’t you debate me?” She’s been banging the “I must debate AOC” drum for four years, ever since she came into Congress in 2021. This was 3-years ago. x x YouTube Video The Green New Deal was only 14 pages — and MTG didn’t even read all of it. It was merely an outline of a proposal, it’s was never a bill. It didn’t pass. Why exactly was she so obsessed with it? Why was she so obsessed with AOC? So this goes back a ways. And then Greene offers her own answer to her own question - “You aren’t intelligent enough.” AOC Graduated cum laude from Boston University. MIT Lincoln Laboratory named a small asteroid after her while in High School. She came in second in the microbiology category of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair in 2007. MTG has a Bachelor's in Business Administration from the University of Georgia. She became rich as CFO for her father's company. Also, she does Crossfit. But you know, AOC is also Puerto Rican. So she’s obviously inferior to a Real American like MTG. How could she be smart? So yeah, we’re right back in the same pit we were with Obama. Crockett is Black. AOC is Latino. Neither could ever be equal to MTG and her awesome CrossFit skills. Even Crockett believes MTG is Racist, because she is. x x YouTube Video But don’t get it twisted. I’m not saying the MTG is a ridiculous racist B-word simply to denigrate her positions. It’s not just Racism. That’s just a side dish to the depth of her hate and disrespect. She — like Gingrich before her, and like Trump — holds all Democrats in contempt. That’s her defining feature - “Hate.” They hate Black people, they hate brown people whether they’re Latino or Arab, they hate Gays, they hate Trans people, they hate Jews, and they hate Democrats — because all those people are generally Democrats - or supported and protected by Democrats. Let me jump for a second over to the other hot story this week — Judge Alito and the upside-down flag. People are pretty upset about this. They’re enraged that he would plant a flag representing the “Stop The Steal” movement in his own front yard. I get that, but… He didn’t raise the flag upside-down, his wife did. Yes, that’s a cheesy excuse — it was still his house, his yard and his flagpole. Like, he didn’t even notice it? More importantly IMO, an upside-down flag has long been a sign of distress and danger. It’s part of the Flag code. It’s a legitimate statement protected by free speech. So I’m not so upset that this happened than most people. But what I do find interesting is why it happened. Mrs. Alito was apparently upset that someone had a “F— Trump” sign in their yard. And she was doubly-upset that the sign was “50 feet” from where a school bus usually picked up. Can’t you think of the children? Yeah, but at that point in time - both of the local school districts weren’t having kids come to in-person classes. Kids were doing in-home learning. Nobody was going to that bus stop. So let me get this straight - she’s upset kids might see the “F-Word” when there aren’t any kids around? This is coming from a member of the “Fuck Your Feelings” party? This is coming from one of the “FJB” people? The “Let’s go Brandon” people? These people think it’s “funny” to sell truck wraps that show Joe Biden bound up in the back of a pickup! And - they’re still selling these fucking things. This is funny to them. It’s a laugh riot. But “F—- Trump” isn’t. Oh, suddenly that’s deadly serious? These people have been talking vicious shit about Democrats literally for decades — they claim we stole an entire election, they claim we kidnap, traffic and murder children - but now suddenly this sign is beyond the pale? It’s not according to Hoyle? “How dare you?” They took this as a personal affront. They were personally offended by it. Really? How much of a fucking snowflake are you? Now, you think people should be civil and polite to one another? Where was that with Gingrich? Where is that with MTG? Let me digress for a minute. I ran into exactly this attitude with a now former friend of mine. We’d known each other for 25 years. We’ve been in more than one band together, me on guitar, him on drums. I’ve roadied for him when he was in other bands. He followed me on Facebook. But I learned over the last 2 years, slowly, that he was a MAGA. I had no idea, but it became more and more obvious. I tried to discuss issues with him, and initially he was reluctant. Then he became abusive and insulting. Rather than address the issue - he would hurl insults. He would accuse me of being “deranged” he would say I was “delusional.” I had invited him into my Facebook discussion group — but his personal attacks and abuse caused me to kick him out. Then he would start randomly showing up in my feed, and again, hurl insults and attacks. I complained. He denied it. He insisted I show him where he was abusive - even though he had been *part* of the discussions we were both having and the issue came up repeatedly. He knew what the fuck he had just said. Quoting his own words back to him was getting tedious. And even when I did it, he would still ignore it like it didn’t happen. He took no responsibility for anything. Like Gingrich, like MTG and like Trump he couldn’t discuss the facts - he couldn’t discuss the issue without making it personal. Without being snide and insulting. “Mexicans are Rapists.” “Shithole Countries.” “Vermin.” “Polluting the blood of our Country.” At one point he told me that my posting anti-Trump commentary ON MY OWN PAGE - was personally insulting to him. My saying “Trump was a criminal” in my opinion was a personal affront! How dare I say what I think on my own page? Actually, the straw that broke the camel’s back was a repost from someone else, it wasn’t even my words. It was this: This is what finally triggered him. We argued about it for while — and I pointed out that Trump already did make Detention Camps for Migrant kids (and he’s promising to do much worse next time with giant detention camps for ALL MIGRANTS) — he went from arguing this idea was “Delusional” to endorsing it in a nano-second. Yeah so, I kicked him out. I blocked him. He’s gone. And this brings me back to MTG and also Mrs. Alito - who felt so fucking entitled she had to get in the face of a neighbor with the “F—- Trump” sign. Because she was “personally” affronted. Because of the “kids.” If her first name wasn’t “Martha” I would assume it was “Karen!” Apparently, what she got in response was some directly personal criticism — specifically she was accused of supporting the Insurrection which had just occurred. I don’t know the details of that conversation, but I have a feeling that probably wasn’t thrown in her face totally at random. I don’t think it was an “out-of-the-blue” illegitimate accusation without any substance. I mean, not like “Obama is a Muslim.” Or AOC “isn’t intelligent enough.” I’m not even going to pay attention to the fact that Sydney Powell said that Alito was part of the plan to overthrow the election, because I doubt her neighbor knew that at the time. x This new interview by Powell is interesting. It suggests that the purpose of the insurrection was to DELAY the electoral college certification to give Alito time to intervene on this legal challenge. But, Powell says they didn’t anticipate Pelosi reconvening Congress that day. pic.twitter.com/HnmpcOci3Q — Ron Filipkowski (@RonFilipkowski) September 26, 2021 Attorney Sidney Powell said the January 6 riot at the Capitol could have caused a delay which would have allowed Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito time to stop the certification of Joe Biden's election victory—but that chance was lost when Nancy Pelosi reconvened Congress to complete the process. Powell, an attorney who has filed numerous lawsuits in a failed bid to overturn former President Donald Trump's 2020 election loss, made the comments during an appearance on the conservative Stew Peters Show on Friday. She said that as a pro-Trump mob stormed the Capitol that day, her team was seeking an emergency injunction to prevent the certification of Biden's win. "We were filing a 12th Amendment constitutional challenge to the process that the Congress was about to use under the Electoral Act provisions that simply don't jive with the 12th Amendment to the United States Constitution," she said. "And Justice Alito was our circuit justice for that." But for the sake of argument, let’s say it wasn’t a justified claim. I mean, it’s not like Alito hasn’t shown a repeatedly partisan and biased bent in his opinions, and that if the question of the legitimacy of the Fake Electors came before the SCOTUS - which side he would be on isn’t really in much doubt - but never mind all that. What would be the exact wrong thing to do — the exact wrong signal to send in response to an unfair and unfounded statement — and a sign — such as that? This. This is what she does. This is how she makes her point that she’s NOT in favor of the attack on the Capitol? Just like my friend who went from saying Detention camps were “delusional” to saying - “yeah, but they’re illegals.” So, of course we want to put children in detention, where else should they go “Your House?” First, the suggestion is ridiculously beyond the pale, then the suggestion is exactly what I want. It’s exactly what I support. [Actually, if I was in a position to foster or sponsor a separated migrant kid in my own home, and I was bilingual — I would do it. Yes, actually - I would put them in my own house. My mom had foster kids in her home, I should pay that forward.] I don’t believe in using a broad brushes to describe a large group of disparate independent people. It’s reductive. It shaves off nuance. It ignores diverse opinions. On the other hand, they’ve made a choice and decision to do the things they do, say the things they say and to believe the bullshit they believe. This isn’t an issue about an immutable trait - it’s a willful free choice. So yeah, these fucking people are just hateful, yo.
