Disaster struck during 'Hush Money' trial- judge ordered the room to be cleared of press [1]

The judge seems to have thought that he got stared down by one of Trump’s witnesses.

NEW YORK — Former President Trump’s hush money trial briefly devolved into chaos Monday when Judge Juan Merchan admonished a witness for improper decorum, after having the jury leave the courtroom, and then also ordered the room be cleared of press.

As tensions boiled over, reporters were abruptly told to leave the courtroom, the first time that has happened during the trial when proceedings were still underway. They were allowed back inside minutes later without explanation.
