It's going to be a rough few weeks. Help needed. [1]

When life wipes out your savings and you have to put the pieces back together.

So when my car went Blues Brothers on me and broke, I was left with a major panic attack so horrible I couldn’t even speak. I couldn’t think a coherent thought.

Why?

I still had seven payments on it.

Plus the newer car I got had a payment almost $100 per month higher than the previous one. AND insurance for the car went up $200 per six months.

Thanks to help from family, I was able to pay off that loan and purchase a new vehicle. I have gone through my finances and I can meet all my budgetary needs with my paycheck with discipline. I’ve made necessary changes to my lifestyle to help accomplish this such as quitting some unhealthy vices like smoking that are a bit expensive nowadays.

That’s the good news.

The bad news is I’m starting from zero. Meaning, I don’t have a cushion to help me organize all the payments as well as an upcoming insurance payment on the new vehicle.

And there’s worse. I have found out that I will not be getting summer school income, so that’s a loss of $2500 to my planned income, which was going to be my cushion as I have that huge new car insurance bill coming up in June.

And that’s where I need a bit of help.

As I mentioned, I don’t have a cushion to help start my payment cycle. Right now I will have to miss a couple payments on some bills in order to get “caught up”, and then I will be behind and racing to try to get current again.

My phone service may soon be out for at least a week. One check may be returned just because of timing. To save money I’m making minimum payments on my cards. Plus, I need to begin paying back the money my family helped me with.

But a boost will be just the push forward for me to not only barely tread water, but to begin to take tiny steps forward and then bigger ones.

So the main need is to replace that $2500 in lost summer school income. That would set me up so I would be able to catch up and start taking forward steps.
