[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-05-31 Once again we are left with the perplexing question: Why is this guy still a thing??? Who are these people that still gyrate towards his destructive and deceiving circle? Is one of our two political parties really going to put this guy in front of their leadership? These and other questions plague the rational mind of most Americans….but not all. There still is that 30%...according to the polls. I have associates, not friends, who steadfastly support Trump and stubbornly refuse to open their minds to any alternative explanation. When I look at these people, I see a common thread….all of them suffer from some type of personal failure and/or economic decline. They see the system and/or the “others” as the primary reason for their own predicament, as does Trump, which most of them are in denial of while refusing to accurately see themselves. Self examination is for liberals and their god-less friends. As conservatives, they prefer to herd together and cast guilt, blame, and shame upon the god-less minions of the liberal agenda. Choosing the “brands” of historical colonial designations, they cast their pointed labels upon these god-less people along with the poisons of their own victimhood and self-loathing. These poisons metastasize into a cause of dark proportions that can only end in the destruction and demolition of any civil decency and mutual welfare. There is a interesting dichotomy associated with victimhood. The person either is able to find assistance through loved ones to rise above the darkness of their despair; they are defeated by their victimhood; or they learn to relish in the loathing and find some avenue of escape into which they can release their anxieties and frustrations. Trump offers the third choice. The internal darkness in his soul has smelled this cultural anomaly in the American landscape and showed him how to appeal to it and profit from it. This inner darkness has a name. It is an actual spiritual entity and it is called Mammon. Mammon feeds off of the naïveté and disillusioned humans who have found themselves on the loosing end of a dominating economic and spiritual system that functions on a linear mindset. The colonial powers brought this into being and have continued to empower it through the ages since the time of the Egyptians. Trump is simply the manifestation of this Mammon inspired cultural machine and represents the darkness of this powerless hierarchy by placing one’s physical and economic status above the spiritual character of the human race. We all are part of the problem and we all must become a part of the solution. We can take a few minutes to applaud the justice system of this country as it demonstrates that the power is actually in the hands of the people, but the problem needs to be addressed in a much larger context. The good news is that we are on the road to addressing our cultural misgivings. The bad news is that it is going to take awhile and in the meantime we are going to have to endure some nasty realizations.
