[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-05-31 Yes, we are all processing. We are all trying to come to grips with the probabilities of incarceration. While I think Trump is a danger to society, a career criminal, highly likely to commit more crimes if not imprisoned, and completely without remorse, we all understand there will be a heavy push to keep him out of prison. Let’s set that issue aside for the moment. There are many things that a convicted felon cannot do, and some of these WILL have an immediate impact on Trump. Let’s compile a list of the “things Trump will be going through soon”, so to speak. Travel restrictions A convicted felon cannot travel to Canada without some special permissions. www.canadavisa.com/… This is probably true of many other countries as well. Gun ownership In many states, a convicted felon cannot own or possess a firearm. www.cga.ct.gov/... Security clearance He cannot get a security clearance. Therefore, Biden’s administration should not be giving him any briefings that include any classified material. They should never be doing that anyway because we know what he does with classified material, but now it is official. He can’t have a security clearance. If he were to become President again, he would not need a clearance, but until that happens, NO CLASSIFIED BRIEFINGS. www.slengland.com/... No association with convicted felons This is a standard requirement during any probationary or parole period, and MUST be enforced with Trump. Lately, he has made a big deal of inviting people charged with felonies to join him on stage. www.usnews.com/... And wouldn’t that also include people like Manafort? Trump pardoned Manafort, but he is still a convicted felon. MSNBC has a long list of convicted felons in Trump’s inner circle. Surely this should be a huge red flag for Judge Merchan. www.msnbc.com/... Voting rights The laws of Florida may permit Trump to vote there. But that is only because New York has more forgiving laws affecting convicted felons, so Trump should be thankful he was convicted in New York, rather than, say Georgia. www.tampabay.com/... What else? I am sure there are many more restrictions that could be placed on Trump, now that he is a convicted felon. Please add these in the comments section. Let’s do our part to get as many restrictions on this mobster and national traitor as possible.
