Sunday Morning Open Thread With Music by Bruno Mars [1]

Good morning, folks.

I’m taking a break from mowing my lawn right now to start this diary. Mostly I quit because my back is killing me. My front yard really needs it. If I don’t mow now a few of it’s weeds will be knee high after tonight’s rain. Right now it’s like mowing hay.

As for the kitties, they’ve been getting along well. They haven’t been squabbling at all lately. Unfortunately, my shy little Minty has claimed the underside of my king sized bed as her own. Sometimes she won’t even come out for her morning baby food. She just can’t spend her whole life under there. One reason is she and Rogan have a vet appointment coming up in a month. I have to be able to snag her and stick her in the carrier. Another reason is what would happen if this place caught fire? I can’t have her hiding all the time in her safe space.

What do you know--Minty ventured out this morning after I climbed back into bed to warm up a bit. She flopped right down beside me. It’s as if she likes her privacy but she doesn’t really like to be alone. In other words, she’s a cat. Oh, well. What can I do?
