Epoch Times follows the GQP plan - CFO arrested [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-06-04 Many of us here talk about the Epoch Times — the freebie that shows up in the mail with the Xtian rants and alternate reality reporting. Well, it turns out we aren’t the only ones following their activities. CNBC reports here that the Epoch Times CFO, Wiedong “Bill” Guan, was arrested and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit money laundering and two counts of bank fraud. The bail was $3 million and is restricted to New York and New Jersey. And, in classic, GQP Manner, the basis for the money laundering was “fraudulently obtained unemployment benefits”. Want to reduce the program so you don’t have to pay taxes but still cheat the remaining money. The allegations are that the laundering scheme “benefiting a multinational media company headquartered in Manhattan” — where Epoch Times is based. The plan was based on buying criminally obtained funds at 70 to 80% discounts and then recording them as “donations” to the non-profit. As many here know, Epoch Times is indicated as affiliated with Falun Gong, what I personally can only describe as a cult. Surprise, a right wing cult that is financing itself illegally.
