White to move and mate in two #518 - Chang'e 6 lands on the far side of the moon [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-06-04 China's Chang'e 6 mission to the moon made a successful landing on the far side of moon on Saturday June 1 at 22:23 UTC. In 2 days, Change’6 drilled, collected lunar soil samples and has begun its journey to return the samples to earth around June 25. Communications takes place via the Queqiao-2 relay satellite, which was launched on March 20 and is in an elliptical lunar orbit. Here is footage taken by the camera onboard the lander+ascender module during the final minutes of the landing sequence. Here are some video clips of its short stay on the far side of the moon. x x YouTube Video A small rover (移动相机 Yidong xiangji, "mobile camera") deployed during landing took this picture of the lander+ascender. Given the difficulties we have seen with recent landers which failed to land on their feet or stay upright, it is remarkable how well the Chang’e missions have done. Now let’s try to land today’s puzzle composed in 1928 by Comins Mansfield, the noted British composer of Two Move Chess problems. P.S.
