Dear GOoPers: Please tell me where the 2nd Amendment says a drug user can't have a gun. [1]

Dear Republicans , reTrumplicans , Conservatives , GOoPers,

Would you please tell me where exactly the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States says that a user of illegal drugs can be denied gun ownership?

I mean, you’re always going on an on about how people have a right to defend themselves. Against...you know...those people. And of course the government itself! People must have the right to protect themselves against those bucket helmeted storm troopers of the Deep State!

Well don’t all these “reasons” apply to a drug user too? Don’t they need to protect themselves? (Yeah, yeah, you and I both know that a gun in the house is more likely to be used against a family member or the gun owner themself rather than a criminal….but shhhhhh! Ixnay on the acts-fay.)

So okay, yeah, I’ll admit it….there are those “pesky” words in the Second Amendment. Well regulated.

Seems pretty cut and dried to me. Except of course, what exactly constitutes well regulated and over regulated?

Now, if I recall correctly, your crowd generally regards, well, any regulation as being over regulation.

I mean, you don’t want to deny perpetrators of domestic violence their guns.

And you don’t want to limit the number of guns a person can purchases in a given month. Not even to 50 guns a month. And of course such regulation would greatly curtail the practice of straw purchasing guns in bulk to resell them to criminals. But if anybody tries to suggest such a limit...even a ridiculously high limit….you’re on and on about denying “collectors” the right to purchase as many guns as they want, in as little time as they want.

So it seems to me your crowd has never been particularly fond of that well regulated bit in the Second Amendment. At all.

But now apparently you’re all for it!

Or at least you are when the drug user in question is Hunter Biden.

So, tell me this: If we can find a high profile liberal to start gun running from a Southern state to New York you’d suddenly support anti straw purchase laws?

If we can find some well known liberal wife beater you’d be in favor of forcibly removing any guns he might own?

I’m gonna have to think about this. But we might have a deal.
