Today's Feel Good Story: The Trumps are bonding over his conviction! [1]

I happily subscribe to The Levin Report, Bess Levin’s free newsletter [Vanity Fair subscription not required]. Ms. Levin’s reports are always laden with snark and wicked fun. This week she was covering the Trump family side of things following Mister Trump’s conviction.

Speaking to Fox News earlier this month, Trump said that the trial and conviction had taken a toll on his wife. “She’s fine, but I think it’s very hard for her,” he said, adding that, “in many ways, it’s tougher on [the family] than it is me.”

Fortunately, Stormy Daniels was gracious enough to step in the mix and offer some advice to Melania worthy of Ask Amy. Ms. Daniel’s advice was, no doubt, totally appreciated by Melania – and free no less!

. . . StormyDaniels told Melania (via an interview with the Daily Mirror) that she should divorce her husband. “I don’t know what their agreement may or may not be, but Melania needs to leave him,” Daniels said. “Not because of what he did with me or other women, but because he is a convicted felon. It’s been proven he is abusive; he was found liable for sexual assault and tax fraud and is now a criminal. He’s neither Teflon Don nor Teflon Con anymore.”

But, ultimately, Melania did not follow Stormy’s advice. Through his conviction, Mister Trump was able to bond more closely with his devoted family. He no doubt reasoned that, regardless of whether a 34-count felony conviction might hurt his election chances, it brought his family together. Nothing is more important to Donald than family and togetherness. And if there was ever a prototype Family Values Man, that would be the Donald.

Familially speaking, Donald John turned fools gold into gold plating by micro-managing his lawyers to ensure that he was convicted in the hush money case. That felony conviction thing turned out to be one of Donald’s most brilliant ideas.

Page Six reports that, according to a person familiar with the matter, Trump’s guilty verdict has “brought the entire family closer together than they've ever been.” . . . . The person added: “Words of support have overridden any past tension as the family comes together. . . . Friends say they haven’t seen the family on the same page like this since his inauguration years ago.” Nothing like a felony conviction to bring people together!

I’m getting verklempt.
