Dear MAGA,

Honest to God – here's what I want/wish for you: Remember when you realized you truly loved someone? Remember how that feeling of affection towards someone, anyone like your mom, dad, spouse, child, grandparent suffused through you? Remember how the entire world seemed better in that light? I genuinely, sincerely want you to have that feeling. I want you to feel love-struck. You deserve that happiness. I am tired of my anger and I think you might be tired of yours. If you're reading this, know that I am genuinely rooting for your personal success and happiness. I want your life to be fulfilling and family-centered. The whole world is better when everyone is focused on their love, right? And after we've both reached that place where we feel good, let's MAYBE talk about those things that helped make us happier and how much of it is common to both of us – no matter how different we may think we've become. Let's both move beyond being angry to a place where our commonalities can make us both smile, laugh and recognize the humanity in each other – no matter who we voted for. And if we can’t even talk to each other — that’s okay too — as long as you acquire some much-needed love-struck happiness.
