Comic: The Actual Victim Would Like an Edge-wise Word... [1]

Okay, so no, Donald Trump has yet to qualify at the level of an actual Hitler, even as the party that supports him is making brown (shirts) the new black. But the response that compares Trump to Jesus instead? That is a level of non-self-awareness—from people claiming to be “Christian”—that boggles the mind.

It’s not simply the cynical politics of it, it’s the fact that a true believer would fear for their soul to make a comparison like that. Especially those who are… you know… public adulterers and representatives for the money-changers, the predators of the poor and demonizers of the different, those who fail to attend to the sick, who despoil the natural world… and so on. When a right-wing publication like the Washington Examiner sees it, these people might want to take need. Meanwhile, the definition among serious Christian sources is clear. This isn’t about cussing and never has been:
