Project 2025:American Nightmare [1]

A victory by Donald Trump this November could be far worse than we think or could imagine. PROJECT 2025 is a blueprint and guidebook for Donald Trump and his administration, if he wins this November. It lays out the first 180 days of the administration. This over 900-page document was put together by the think tank, Heritage Foundation. This was written by a Republican brain trust of political experts, former politicians, business professionals, and scholars. This not a document written by Qanon crazy conspiracy nuts or some MAGA follower writing from his mother’s basement. The Heritage Foundation plans were used by Regan and Bush sr and jr. The difference between the past years plans by the Heritage Foundation is that Project 2025 involves swift and extreme changes to the very core of our democracy.

At the heart of this guild book is the goal to give the President more power by putting him in control of the unofficial 4th branch of Government, which are government agencies. Trump would be in control of agencies like the Department of Education, Homeland Security, Agriculture, Health and Human Services, Justice, Veterans Affairs, Housing and Urban Development, EPA, and the Social Security Administration, to name a few. He will not only put his people in charge, but he will also fire the career bureaucrats who work in each agency. Every single person from the top down has been vetted to insure they are completely loyal to the cause.

With complete control of the 4th branch of the government plus majority in the Supreme Court, President Trump will be able to start enacting real changes as marked in the Project 2025 document. In no particular order, President Trump will close the borders and start deporting all people not here legally. He will take away LGBTQ+ rights. He will eliminate gay marriage and all benefits that go with it. He will eliminate the use of pronouns in school and the workplace. All books in libraries and schools pertaining to anything LGBTQ + will be removed. He will illuminate the “woke” agenda. He will also eliminate all entitlements, including Social Security and Medicare. With the DOD under his charge, the President will start targeting his enemies. The Republicans have never been on board with climate change. We will see a cut in that budget. Trump will put a focus on helping large corporations while the middle class and poor suffer. The worst of it all is the possibility of Republicans finding a way to keep Trump in office after his four years.

In the end, Project 2025 has the possibility to change the landscape of our government for the worse and damage the future of our democracy. We must get out there and vote this November. We can not afford to stay home or take for granted that Joe Biden will win. This is our country. This is our democracy. This is our future.
