[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-06-11 Think about it. Biden’s lost so much already-his wife, his other son. He’s over 80. If Hunter goes to prison for years, they’ll essentially never see each other again, except through brief supervised visits. No one chooses to be an addict. I can understand how the jury both had to find him guilty and also said the case should have never been brought. He was a sacrifice. Biden can’t pardon him for political reasons. And now the same GOP that dragged this whole sordid mess into the limelight are bitching because the result has the unintended result of undercutting their simultaneous whining that Trump is being uniquely persecuted for partisan reasons? Biden didn’t set this up, for fuck’s sake. It’s gross to even suggest that this is somehow his doing. How? Show your work, already. This is like that one pundit who said that Democrats had somehow double faked the Republicans into not getting vaccinated and therefore dying, because they KNEW that embracing the vaccine HAD to result in Republicans being oppositional. Because Republicans are eight years old. Enough of this crap. At least Biden loves his son. Something Trump will never understand; nor, I suspect, most of his opportunistic, spineless lickspittles.
