Trump admits breaking same law as Hunter and for longer [1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-06-11 Two tiered justice system indeed. The same day Hunter Biden was convicted on three felony counts including one count for the illegal possession of a fire arm for 11 days, news broke Donald Trump has indeed been breaking the same law and has actually broken it for longer, with no statements if or when he plans to stop breaking it. 'Irony': Expert draws surprising comparison between Trump parole and Biden conviction: CNN's Chief Law Enforcement and Intelligence Analyst John Miller, citing a source, confirmed that Trump admitted during his Monday pre-sentencing interview to still possessing his third known gun in Florida. Miller made the comments during an interview on CNN's "The Lead" with Jake Tapper. "Our understanding from a New York City official who was briefed on the interview — that Donald Trump and his lawyer, Todd Blanche who sat in on with probation officials yesterday — went through the regular questions about 'Where do you live?, How much time do you spend in Florida versus New York?', his family situation and access to firearms. "They said there is a gun in Florida." Miller noted that the amount of days since Trump was convicted — May 30 — would be nearly the same as that of Hunter Biden, who was found guilty Tuesday for violating gun laws. It’s twelve days since May 30th. 12 days is more than 11 days, Trump has broken the law for longer. His probation interview was Monday, at which point he was illegally in possession of the fire arm for 11 days but with no plan to turn in the fire arm he is going on 12 now 13 days in violation of the law. USC code 922 (g) is clear about when the possession of fire arms is a felony: (g) It shall be unlawful for any person- (1) who has been convicted in any court of, a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; (2) who is a fugitive from justice; (3) who is an unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance (as defined in section 102 of the Controlled Substances Act (21 U.S.C. 802)); ...to ship or transport in interstate or foreign commerce, or possess in or affecting commerce, any firearm or ammunition; or to receive any firearm or ammunition which has been shipped or transported in interstate or foreign commerce. Just as clear is the fact that Trump won’t be prosecuted. Hunter Biden will be sentenced in October.
