Who Do We Have To Thank For Our Rogue Supreme Court? [1]

For our rogue supreme court let us not forget that we can thank the following short sighted individuals for appointments that the arc of time has shown to be problematic:

George H W Bush………..Clarence Thomas

George W Bush…………...Samuel Alito

Mitch McConnell………...Neil Gorsuch

Ruth Ginsberg…………….Brett Kavanaugh

Mitch McConnell………...Amy Barrett

Many of us remember when the US supreme Court was a bulwark against extremist policy and were accused of legislating from the bench with the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, environmental related judgements, etc. The arc toward reason. The Bushes appointed extremists before there was a majority of rightists on the court. McConnell stole one appointment from Obama and one from Biden (let us not forget this SOB). Sorry RBG, love you but the opposition is dreaming of leftist jurists who will not retire under a leftist executive before it’s too late (let’s dispense with the terminology of liberal and conservative, please, rightists are no longer conservative and the term ‘liberal’ has had a pejorative connotation since the 80’s that the term ‘conservative’ has deflected like teflon). The bulwark court of the 60’s and 70’s were mostly appointed by republicans. The court we have now is an inversion, just like the inversion between new deal and trickle-down.
