It appears I won’t need to change my moniker to “Tara the Antisocial Social Work Supervisor.” Got the “Thank you for your interest” email yesterday. Possibly they were warned about my bizarre effect on computers; who knows what damage I might have done with a higher clearance.

I’m equal parts disappointed and relieved. I’m not great with change. At least the interview went normally, and wasn’t comically bad like my last attempt.

In other news, I’m up to book 28 on the 50-book Popsugar Reading Challenge, and am posting a review every week on my website. Still have no idea what I’m going to read for “a book from an animal’s POV” (anything but The Call of the Wild; I’m looking for something I haven’t read before).

I carried out my threat to submit a story for the anthology of crime stories based on Barry Manilow songs. I can’t post the story (because then it’s considered published and the anthology won’t take it). But here’s the song:
