[1] ['This Content Is Not Subject To Review Daily Kos Staff Prior To Publication.'] Date: 2024-06-22 For those who may have missed the story, when Trump was flying over Puerto Rico and surveying the damage from Hurricane Maria, he said to then governor Ricardo Rosselló, If nuclear war happens, we won’t be second in line pressing the button. Can anyone explain what he is talking about? It makes no sense to me, but it seems kind of important. Does he not know or not care that the U.S. has an official no-first-strike policy? It does for a very good reason. No one wants the other side to think it needs to preempt a potential first strike from the U.S. It seems that Trump has taken this off the table and that result alone is very dangerous should he ever get near the Oval Office again. But, again I ask, can anyone figure out what he is talking about and what he intends to show by making such a statement?
