AZ Republican Operatives Suppress Plot to Oust Trump [1]

In the upside down and inside out world of the MAGA faithful, Republican operatives found themselves struggling to regain control of the Arizona delegation to the Republican National Convention to eliminate a movement to “suspend the rules” and possibly nominate discredited moron Michael Flynn in place of Donald Trump.

This was reported by the Washington Post www.washingtonpost.com/...and secondarily appeared in the Arizona Republic.

We are told that all is now well in Crazyville. Some of the ringleaders have been purged from the delegation and the others have promised to behave themselves.

The nexus for the modern-day Guy Fawkes plot seems to have been a fear that Trump will be in jail by the time of the Republican National Convention in July. A secondary motive could be the amount of money and power up for grabs as Trump moves toward the end of his career.

This could be dismissed as trivial chatter among the obviously crazy, except that the plan appears to have been led by Shelby Busch, chair of the Arizona delegation and leader of a political action committee called We the People AZ Alliance.

Rather than try to smuggle gunpowder into the basement of the Milwaukee convention venue, they apparently were reaching out to other state delegations to try to join them. The plan, as reported by the Post, was to have delegates from across the country wear matching black jackets so they could identify each other on the floor.

While this all seems wacko on its face, what other plan does the GOP have in the likely event the Trump campaign collapses. The choice of Flynn as an alternate is suspicious. It is known that he cannot walk and chew gum at the same time, but perhaps the feeling is that with enough coaching, he could briefly chew gum.

We will have to watch closely to determine who is actually crazy: the people who want options to replace Trump or the people who don’t.
