PWB Peeps Open Thread: Hydration! [1]

National Hydration Day could not come at a better time, as we deal with giant heat domes.

Humans and animals need plenty of clean water in the heat.

keep drinking, enough to keep your urine pale yellow. And get plenty of replacement electrolytes.

dogs and cats seem to be wired to prefer running water, so a recirculating fountain is a better arrangement than a bowl.

but a bowl is better than a puddle. Except for cooling off.

wild critters may need your help at this time of year.

even insects need extra water, and the bees and butterflies will deeply appreciate a shallow birdbath with pebbles to stand on.
