So What Happens If The Democrats Do Super Well In November? [1]

I don’t have any specific data to support this hunch, but various special elections in the past two years, Trump’s legal problems, and a robust national economy have me thinking that we might see the Democrats keep the White House and take both houses of Congress in November. If that happens, then what?

Everyone I know is concerned about all the awful stuff the Republicans will do if given the chance— but shouldn’t the reverse also be true? If the Democrats take control, would they be in a position to enact positive change on the same scale that the GOP would enact negative change?

Obama and his team were woefully unprepared to hit the ground running in 2008, and wasted an opportunity to get some big stuff done while they had a favorable posture— Wall St. was let off the hook, the Afghan War was prolonged for eight years at a cost of $4 trillion, and we got a lousy corporate healthcare system.

I worry that there are far too many Congressional Democrats up to their eyeballs in special interest money to advance a serious progressive agenda. What do y’all think?
